Planning your stay at Bright Valley Holiday Park in beautiful Porepunkah? Before you arrive, please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our terms and conditions, park policies, pet rules, and cancellation guidelines.

Whether you’re booking a family getaway, bringing your caravan to our pet-friendly powered sites, or exploring the best of Victoria’s High Country near Bright, this page outlines everything you need to know for a smooth and enjoyable stay. From check-in times to pet-friendly site guidelines, our policies are designed to ensure the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of all guests — two-legged and four-legged!

Basic Information

Check in

Check in is 2:00pm – Arrivals are between 2pm – 5pm. Please ring our friendly team if you are arriving outside of these hours.

Check Out

Check out is 10:00am – Late Checkout Fees apply after 10am.

Reception Hours

8:30am – 5:00pm. If your arrival time is after 5pm please contact our friendly team to send you late arrival information.

Pets Policy

Pets Welcome at BIG4 Porepunkah Holiday Park
We’re excited to now welcome well-behaved dogs on sites at BIG4 Porepunkah Holiday Park (outside of peak periods)! To help everyone enjoy their stay — two-legged and four-legged guests alike — we kindly ask that pet owners follow a few simple guidelines:

  • Leads, please: Pets must be on a lead no longer than 2 metres at all times while in the park.
  • Sites only: Pets are welcome on sites, but not inside cabins or villa accommodation.
  • No solo adventures: Pets must always be supervised and never left unattended, whether in your van, tent, or public areas.
  • Clean-up crew: Please clean up after your pet and use the waste bags and bins provided.
  • Shared spaces are off-limits: Pets are not permitted in park facilities like the pool, amenities, playground, or games room.
  • Peaceful park vibes: Barking, whining, or aggressive behaviour won’t be tolerated. If your pet is disruptive, you may be asked to make alternate arrangements.
  • Peak periods: Unfortunately, pets aren’t permitted during peak periods (school holidays, public holiday weekends). Please check with us to confirm dates.
  • Owner responsibility: Pet owners are responsible for any damage or incidents caused by their pets during their stay.

Guide and Assistance Dogs are always welcome and exempt from these rules.

Cancellations

Changes and Cancellations Terms

Cancellations: Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled arrival date will incur charges for the entire stay. Once checked in, a strict no-refund policy applies to any alterations to your booking. By making a reservation, you acknowledge and agree to abide by all our terms and conditions. A $100 cancellation fee applies to all cancelled bookings.

Rescheduling Policy: Bookings made outside the 30-day period have the option to reschedule their dates. However, if your booking falls within the 30-day period, rescheduling is not possible. For bookings that have already been rescheduled once, the standard terms and conditions no longer apply. If you choose to cancel or reschedule again, you will forfeit the booking.

Deposits and Payments

Deposits and Payments Terms

Deposit & Balance: A 50% deposit is required upon booking, with the full balance due 30 days before arrival (or 60 days prior during peak periods). Please ensure sufficient funds are available on the debit or credit card used to secure your booking.

Non-Payment: Failure to process the final payment may result in automatic cancellation. For all peak periods, all fees must be paid in full 60 days prior to arrival. Online booking terms and payment deadlines are clearly displayed during the reservation process.

No Refunds: Once a booking is paid in full, no refunds or credits will be issued for reducing the number of nights or guests.

Bond for Third-Party Bookings: For bookings made through third-party platforms, a bond or damage deposit must be provided. This will be returned to the same account on the day of departure, provided the accommodation is left clean, undamaged, and in good condition.

Check-in ID: A credit card in the name of the person staying must be presented at check-in.

Visitors: All visitors must report to Reception upon arrival and pay the applicable visitor fee.

Dynamic Pricing: Bright Valley Holiday Park uses a dynamic pricing model. This means our rates are not fixed and may fluctuate based on factors like demand, availability, and seasonality. As such, we are unable to offer refunds based on a change in price after booking or check in. Refer to our cancellation policy.

Minimum Stay: A minimum stay period applies during peak times, school holidays, public holidays, and special events.

Extra Person Charges: Charges apply per person, per night for all guests aged 3 years and older. Infants under 3 years stay free.

Visitor Policy: All visitors must report to Reception upon arrival and pay the applicable visitor fee.

Cleaning and Damage Charges: Additional cleaning fees or charges may apply if accommodation is not left in a clean and hygienic condition. This includes:

  • Rubbish removal
  • Cleaning of dishes, cookware, or surfaces
  • Damage to fixtures or fittings

The amount charged per cabin is at the discretion of management. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping the park clean and comfortable for all guests.

What You Need to Know

Cabins & Site Allocation: Site and villa allocations are determined on the day of arrival. While we do our best to accommodate requests to be near friends or family, we cannot guarantee specific locations. Requests are subject to availability and may be modified. To reserve a specific cabin or site, a Site Allocation Fee applies: $10.00 per night for cabins and villas, and $5.00 per night for sites.

Bunk Bed Safety: In line with Australian Standards AS/NZS 4220:2003, children under 9 years old are not permitted to use top bunks. Climbing or playing on bunk beds is discouraged for safety reasons.

Bedding and Towels: All accommodations include bedding, bath towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, and pillowcases.

Additional Cleaning Fees: Charges may apply if accommodations are not left in a clean and tidy state. This includes rubbish removal and cleaning of dishes or cookware. Fees are at the discretion of management.

Cars: A maximum of one vehicle is allowed per site or cabin.

Children: Parents or guardians are responsible for their children at all times. Helmets must be worn when riding bikes or scooters within the park.

Fires: Fire drums are available to hire for $30 per stay. You may bring your own drum with a base to protect the grass, provided it is elevated and cleaned after use. Fires are permitted unless total fire bans are in place or management decides otherwise. Firewood and drums can be purchased from Reception daily before 4pm. Aluminium bins are available for safe coal disposal.

Noise: Please keep noise to a minimum after 10:00pm to ensure a peaceful environment for all guests.

Supervision in Facilities: Children under 12 must be supervised at the swimming pool, jumping pillow, and amenities block.

Non-Smoking Policy: Bright Valley Holiday Park maintains a strict non-smoking policy across the entire park.

In-Park PERKS Members Conditions: PERKS benefits are not available during peak periods (December/January, Easter, long weekends, or special events). Benefits must be arranged at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability. If not pre-arranged, they may not be honoured.

Late Checkout (11am): Not offered during peak periods, including December/January, Easter, long weekends, or park special events.

Midday Check-In for Powered Sites: Midday check-in is not available during peak periods. It is strictly subject to availability and must be arranged at least 24 hours in advance.

11am Check-Out for Powered Sites: This benefit is also unavailable during peak periods. It must be arranged during your stay and is strictly subject to availability.
